According to Sports DongA, industry insiders have confirmed that Yoo Yeon Seok is set to star in Park Chan Wook’s upcoming film, following their successful collaboration on “Decision to Leave.”
Both CJ ENM and Yoo Yeon Seok’s agency, KINGKONG by STARSHIP, have acknowledged the reports, stating that he has received an offer and is currently reviewing it. The project, which Park Chan Wook has been developing for years, is still in the process of finalizing copyright issues as it is based on an original concept.
Rumors have it that stars like Lee Byung Hun, Son Ye Jin, Lee Sung Min, and Yeom Hye Ran are also in talks to join the cast. If Yoo Yeon Seok signs on, this will mark his first collaboration with Park Chan Wook in over two decades, since their work together on “Old Boy.”
