The West Indies Under-19 women’s cricket team will be aiming to secure a series-clinching win against the US in their fifth and final Twenty/20 match. Led by TT’s own Samara Ramnath, the young West Indies squad currently holds a 2-1 series lead and will be looking to close out the series with another victory in this crucial final T20 showdown.

Despite encountering rainy weather throughout the series, resulting in low-scoring battles, the West Indies team has shown resilience and determination. The fourth T20 encounter was unfortunately cut short after just 7.1 overs due to inclement weather, with the hosts reaching 29 for two before play was abandoned. Isani Vaghela made a strong start by picking up two quick wickets for the US, providing them with a solid foundation at the start of the match.

The US team, on the other hand, will be seeking to bounce back from a narrow five-run loss in the third T20, where Abigail Bryce’s spectacular catch off the final ball secured a win for the hosts in a rain-affected contest. With the series finely poised, both teams will be eager to come out on top in the final game.

Weather permitting, fans can expect an exciting and closely contested match as Ramnath and her West Indies side look to defy the visitors and secure a series victory on July 27 at the Sir Frank Worrell Memorial Ground, University of the West Indies, St Augustine.
