And when it comes to power, the Vaio won’t let you down. You can easily power the monitor from your laptop with a single included USB-C cable, or connect a 65W or higher USB-C PD power supply to charge your laptop simultaneously. With a low power consumption of about 4W in use and the ability to pass through up to 60W to your laptop, the Vaio is as efficient as it is powerful.
However, there are some unknowns when it comes to picture quality. Vaio doesn’t specify the type of panel used in the Vision, and while it does cover 100 percent of the sRGB color spectrum, graphics professionals may find this limited. Additionally, the antiglare screen only offers 400 nits of brightness, which may not be ideal for outdoor use.
For those eager to get their hands on this cutting-edge portable monitor, the Vaio Vision Plus 14 is currently on sale in Japan for 54,800 yen (approximately $339) and will be shipping this week.
