Trinidad and Tobago is gearing up for the 2024 Concacaf Girls’ Under-15 Championships with two teams set to compete in League B. The tournament will take place from August 5-11 at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva and the Larry Gomes Stadium in Malabar.

This year’s Championships will host a record 34 member associations, a significant increase from the 20 teams that participated in the previous edition. The host nations for the tournament will be Aruba, Costa Rica, and Trinidad and Tobago.

All three leagues, A, B, and C, will include a group stage followed by a knockout phase to determine the champions. Trinidad and Tobago will be represented by a national under-15 team as well as a High Performance team.

The tournament schedule will see each team playing three games in the group stage from August 5-8, with the semifinals and final scheduled for August 9 and 11 respectively. Trinidad and Tobago’s teams will play all their group matches at the Ato Boldon Stadium.

The head coach of the Trinidad and Tobago under-15 team, Marlon Charles, expressed his excitement for the tournament, emphasizing the opportunity for players to gain valuable experience and enhance their skills.

TTFA President Kieron Edwards highlighted the importance of the Championships in fostering the growth and development of women’s football, encouraging greater participation and support for the sport among young girls.
