Masqueraders from the Ronnie and Caro mas band paraded down the streets of Port of Spain, giving pedestrians a glimpse of Carnival 2025 during the band’s launch. The theme of the presentation, “Shall We Dance: Where Every Step Tells A Story,” set the tone for a festive atmosphere.

The launch featured four costumes from each of the band’s nine sections, drawing crowds to line the streets and watch the masqueraders in action. Accompanied by a music truck and refreshment carts, the masqueraders paraded from the National Academy for the Performing Arts to Woodford Square before returning to the mas camp.

Caroline McIntosh (Caro) shared that her mother was the creative force behind the chosen theme, aiming to bring joy and celebration to Carnival. Despite the theme, the band incorporated traditional elements like Chutney Bacchanal and Ent, ensuring a mix of fun and tradition.

With hopes to attract around 2,000 participants, Ronnie and Caro’s band this year introduced budget-friendly costume options starting from $3,500. These options include a backpack, premium drinks, and other amenities, making Carnival accessible to a wider audience.

Located at the corner of Ana and Warren Street in Woodbrook, the mas camp serves as the hub for this year’s festivities. The band’s website, ronnieandcaro.com, is set to go live by July 26, providing more information for those interested in joining the celebrations.

The launch was a colorful and vibrant affair, with members of the band showcasing their elaborate costumes and festive spirit. With preparations underway, Ronnie and Caro’s band is gearing up for a joyful and inclusive Carnival celebration in 2025.
