At the funeral of murdered beauty queen Sadna Ramsaroop Gangoo, three pastors and her aunt made a heartfelt plea to the public. The pastors, including Bishop Mark Mangray, emphasized the importance of not judging Gangoo, despite her imperfections. They highlighted her selfless service to others and urged everyone to remember her good deeds rather than focusing on any mistakes she may have made.

During the emotional service, Bishop Mangray, Magnish Ramoutar, and Joseph Warner shared touching stories of Gangoo’s kindness and dedication to helping others. Ramoutar praised Gangoo for risking her life to save others during her time working in a Covid hospital. Warner remembered Gangoo as someone who always took the opportunity to help those in need.

Despite the tragic circumstances surrounding Gangoo’s death, her aunt Cintra Ramjattan spoke passionately about the need for support and understanding. She reminded mourners that nobody is perfect and that it is not our place to judge others. Ramjattan painted a picture of Gangoo as a caring and compassionate person who always went out of her way to help those around her.

Gangoo’s friends and colleagues also shared their memories of her, painting a picture of a woman who was kind, generous, and selfless. Her friend Moses Charles expressed regret that they didn’t get a chance to finish a conversation they were supposed to have. Dr. Brian Armour, CEO of the South West Regional Health Authority, and many of Gangoo’s colleagues attended the funeral in a show of support.

The community came together to mourn the loss of Gangoo, with a mix of sadness and gratitude for the positive impact she had on so many lives. As investigations into her death continue, those who knew her best will remember her not for how she died, but for how she lived.
