In a heart-wrenching revelation, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, has opened up about feeling “guilty” over not being as close to his niece and nephews, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as he would like. Since moving to Montecito, California with his wife Meghan Markle and children Archie and Lilibet, Harry has expressed his concerns about the distance between his own family and the rest of the Royal Family.

The tension within the Royal Family only escalated with the announcement of Harry’s memoir, Spare, set to be released in January 2023. A source close to Harry revealed that he deeply misses his bond with sister-in-law Kate and is saddened by the fact that his children are not growing up alongside their cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Despite any underlying issues with his brother and father, Harry’s biggest regret seems to be the lack of connection between his own children and their relatives. The source explained that Harry has always envisioned a close relationship with his nieces and nephews, especially offering them advice and support that they may not feel comfortable seeking from their parents.

With both Charlotte and Louis not in line to the throne, Harry feels a special responsibility towards them, having experienced a similar position himself as the “spare” in the Royal Family. The source shared that Harry sees a reflection of his own past in little Louis and it pains him to not be able to form a deeper bond with his own family.

As Harry grapples with his own feelings of guilt and regret, it is clear that his desire to connect with his extended family remains strong. Despite the distance and challenges, Harry’s love for his niece and nephews shines through, showcasing the complicated emotions that come with being a member of the Royal Family.
