Samsung enthusiasts, get ready to be wowed! The latest version of Samsung’s Clock app, v12.4.00.8, has made its debut ahead of the anticipated launch of One UI 7. This exciting update showcases a glimpse of Samsung’s fresh design language that is sure to impress users.

The new Clock app version can be found on the web, and some lucky users have already had the opportunity to install it on their devices running One UI 6. We got our hands on it too, testing it out on a Galaxy Z Fold 6 and we were not disappointed.

While the redesigned UI within the Clock app may not seem drastically different at first glance, there are some noticeable enhancements. The update introduces more contrast and adds icons to the bottom bar, giving it a sleeker look. But the real changes shine through on the homescreen.

Samsung’s revamped icon design for One UI 7 is on full display within the Clock app update. The Clock icon has undergone a stylish transformation with a larger clockface and a pop of color on the hour hand. This reflects Samsung’s move towards a more textured design aesthetic.

But that’s not all – the widgets have received a major facelift too. With bigger shapes and completely opaque backgrounds, the widgets offer a fresh look. The analog clock widget now features ticks for hours and minutes, while the world clock widget is now combined into a single, dual-colored block for a more streamlined appearance.

These updates align perfectly with the leaks of One UI 7, showcasing Samsung’s commitment to rounded UI elements. And it seems that Samsung’s innovation doesn’t stop there. The Clock app appears to hint at the implementation of a new UI design concept, possibly inspired by Apple’s “Dynamic Island”.

Excitingly, Samsung is gearing up to release the first One UI 7 beta update, based on Android 15. Rumors suggest that the update could roll out as soon as tomorrow, July 29, for selected devices and regions. Keep an eye out for this game-changing update!
