Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney, stars of Vanderpump Rules, ventured into the restaurant business with the opening of their sandwich shop, Something About Her, this past May. However, the reviews have not been kind.
Despite facing delays in opening, the restaurant has seen long lines and hour-long wait times. Recent accusations of “bad bread” and small portions on the menu have tarnished the establishment’s reputation.
One reviewer, Rachel Chapman of Elite Daily, shared her experience visiting Something About Her in early June. Despite a crowded interior and limited seating, Rachel opted for The Cameron and The Drew, two popular items on the menu. The Italian-inspired Cameron, priced at $18, left much to be desired due to its dense and flavorless ciabatta bread. The Drew, featuring a unique blend of flavors, also fell short due to tough baguette bread.
Former chef Penny Davidi also criticized the venue’s menu, calling it “underwhelming” and questioning its bread-to-meat ratio.
Rachel ultimately decided not to return to Something About Her, citing the high prices and lackluster sandwiches. However, the restaurant continues to draw crowds, with Bravo and Cocktails sharing a photo of a long line outside the establishment.
While the reviews may be mixed, fans of Vanderpump Rules can look forward to the upcoming season 12, expected to begin production later this year.
