In a shocking turn of events on the set of the Western film “Rust,” actor Alec Baldwin found himself at the center of a tragic shooting incident. What started as a routine scene rehearsal quickly devolved into chaos as two people, including cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, were left bleeding from gunshot wounds.

Let’s delve into the timeline of events that unfolded on that fateful day at Bonanza Creek Ranch in New Mexico. Despite a delayed start to the day, everything seemed to be running smoothly as Baldwin and the crew rehearsed a scene in a rustic church.

However, things took a drastic turn when assistant director Dave Halls handed Baldwin a prop gun, declaring it to be unloaded. As Baldwin performed a “cross draw” maneuver, aiming the gun toward the camera, a loud pop rang out, sending everyone into a state of panic.

Hutchins was tragically struck by the bullet, while director Joel Souza also suffered a gunshot wound to his shoulder. As crew members scrambled to assist the injured, emergency services were called to the scene. Hutchins was airlifted to a nearby hospital but, devastatingly, she did not survive her injuries.

The aftermath of this incident left the industry reeling and raised questions about safety protocols on film sets. Stay tuned for more updates on this heartbreaking story.
