Award-winning actress Natasha Lyonne is taking the wheel once again as production for Season 2 of her hit Peacock show, Poker Face, kicks off. The talented Rian Johnson couldn’t contain his excitement as he shared a glimpse of the first day of filming on Monday, with Lyonne stepping into the director’s chair for episode two.
Drawing inspiration from classic detective shows like Columbo, Poker Face is a thrilling series that follows the fearless Charlie Cale (played by Lyonne) as she navigates the Vegas underworld, solving murders while dodging the mob. The star-studded cast of the show has featured the likes of Adrien Brody, Ron Perlman, and Chloë Sevigny, just to name a few.
Lyonne, who not only stars in the show but also serves as a writer and executive producer, has already proven her directing chops with the Season 1 episode ‘The Orpheus Syndrome’. With a nomination for both a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award for her role in the series, Lyonne’s talent is undeniable.
During a recent TV Contender event, Johnson hinted at what fans can expect in the upcoming season of Poker Face, expressing his desire to continue the show for as long as possible.
