Mother turns in her son to Maloney police for shoplifting clothing

On July 24th, a woman made the tough decision to hand over her own teenage son to the police after discovering clothes in his possession that she hadn’t purchased for him. The 16-year-old boy is suspected of being involved in a housebreaking and larceny case in D’Abadie.

According to a news release issued on July 25th, the victim reported to authorities that she had locked up her home in Maloney Gardens, D’Abadie around 7 am on July 24th before heading out for the day. Upon her return at 4:30 pm, she made a disconcerting discovery – the back door was open and some of her son’s clothing was missing.

Later that evening, at 11:25 pm, another woman reached out to the Maloney Police Station, informing them that her son was in possession of clothing that did not belong to him. Subsequently, the police took action and arrested the 16-year-old suspect, bringing him in for questioning along with the clothes in question.

Upon arriving at the station, the victim was able to confirm that the clothes seized were indeed the same ones that had been taken from her home. As the investigation unfolds, authorities are working diligently to piece together the details of this troubling case.
