Leaked specifications for the Google Pixel Watch 3

Get ready Google fans, because the tech giant is shaking things up this year with an early hardware launch event scheduled for August 13. The highly anticipated Pixel 9 family is expected to make an appearance, along with the exciting debut of the Pixel Watch 3 – now available in two sizes for the first time, confirmed by the FCC.

In a recent leak from a source within Google, more details about the Pixel Watch 3 have emerged. It’s rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon W5 SoC and feature a custom co-processor, promising top-notch performance.

For those concerned about battery life, the 41mm Pixel Watch 3 will sport a 310 mAh battery, while the larger 45mm model will pack a 420 mAh cell. Display sizes will also see an upgrade, with resolutions of 408×408 and 456×456 for the two models, respectively.

Although the design will closely resemble its predecessors, the Pixel Watch 3 will sport slightly smaller screen bezels – a notable improvement for aesthetic appeal. Additionally, a peak brightness of 2,000 nits promises a clearer display, surpassing the 1,000 nits of the Pixel Watch 2.

UWB support is a standout feature of the new watch, enabling precise device tracking in partnership with Google’s Find My Device system. And for those looking to streamline their tech collection, the Pixel Watch 3’s UWB compatibility may potentially turn it into a car key for select car brands.

Color options for the Pixel Watch 3 will include silver, black, and gold for the 41mm model, while the 45mm version will offer a choice of Hazel, black, and silver cases.
