Investigations are currently underway regarding the murder of Phillip Clarke, also known as “Piper,” who was one of two men shot overnight. The second incident involved a man, only known as Dirk, who was discovered lying in a pool of blood at Walker Street, Sangre Grande.
Clarke, aged 38 and unemployed, was shot at his home on Trainline Road, Longdenville, around 4 pm on June 28. His sister, Thelma Guevarra, recounted hearing loud noises outside the house before discovering Clarke lying in a pool of blood on the roadway, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Clarke was quickly transported to the Chaguanas District Health Facility accident and emergency department, where he was attended to by Dr. Mc Coon. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at 4.08 pm.
Responding to a report from the Central Operations Unit, Chaguanas, PC’s Baccus and Raymond of the Chaguanas CID visited the health facility to interview Gueverra, who provided details about the incident.
As investigations continue, authorities are working to uncover more information about both murders.
