In a tragic turn of events, J. Michael Cline, the brilliant mind behind Fandango, has passed away at the age of 64 after a fatal fall from a New York City high-rise hotel. The New York Police Department responded to the scene at The Kimberly Hotel on East 50th Street, where Cline was found unconscious and unresponsive, indicating a fall from a high place. While the investigation is ongoing, reports suggest that his death may have been a result of suicide.

Cline, a Cornell University and Harvard Business School alum, founded Fandango, a popular movie ticketing service, in 2000. After more than a decade with the company, he left in 2011 following its acquisition by Comcast. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to found multiple other successful ventures, including R1 RCM, Accolade, and Insureon, showcasing his knack for business innovation.

Currently serving as executive chairman of investment firm Juxtapose and chairman of the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, Cline leaves behind a legacy of leadership and entrepreneurship. He is survived by his wife Pamela B. Cline and their six children.

Our thoughts are with the Cline family during this difficult time. Inquiries for comments have been sent to Fandango, but for now, the legacy of J. Michael Cline lives on in the innovative businesses he created.
