Levei Morgan-Gloud’s family is speaking out against the portrayal of their loved one after his tragic death in Belmont on July 3. The 21-year-old was attending a wake when a gunshot was heard, leading to the discovery of his lifeless body in the front yard of the house.

Following his death, a picture of Morgan-Gloud holding a gun surfaced on social media, misrepresenting who he was according to his family. They emphasized that he was not involved in criminal activities and was set to start a job as a truck loader the following week.

Described as a loving child with a contagious smile, his family highlighted that Morgan-Gloud had been working on turning his life around. Despite his struggles in the past, they insisted that the image painted of him with the gun was not an accurate representation.

His family blamed the gang culture in the area for leading young men astray, expressing their frustration with the influence these groups have on impressionable individuals.

Heartbroken by the loss of Morgan-Gloud, his family shared the toll his death has taken on them, with his mother falling ill due to the overwhelming grief. One family member extended well wishes to his killers and those involved in gang violence, emphasizing the complexities of the situation.
