West Indies suffered a devastating collapse in the final hour of the second Test against England, resulting in a demoralizing 241-run defeat at Trent Bridge. The West Indies team, chasing an unlikely 385 for victory, started well but lost all ten wickets for just 82 runs, finishing at 142 all out.

Off-spinner Shoaib Bashir was the star of the show, claiming a career-best five for 41 to become the youngest English bowler to take a five-wicket haul at home. West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite expressed his disappointment at the team’s performance, acknowledging that they didn’t bat well enough to secure a win.

England dominated the final day with former captain Joe Root scoring a century and Harry Brook also notching a hundred. Despite some resistance from Jason Holder in the West Indies lineup, they couldn’t avoid defeat.

The final Test of the series will be held at Edgbaston next Friday, with England holding a 2-0 series lead.
