Get ready to rev your engines, Gran Turismo fans! The iconic PlayStation 3-era circuit, Eiger Nordward, is set to make a triumphant return in GT7’s upcoming update 1.49 this month, courtesy of Polyphony Digital.

Surprising fans at the Gran Turismo World Series live event in Montreal, the unveiling of this classic track left spectators buzzing with excitement. The last road course added to the game was Grand Valley back in February 2023, making Eiger Nordward a long-awaited addition to the lineup.

GTPlanet had hinted at the possibility of Eiger Nordward’s return earlier in August 2023, when the PD crew was spotted photographing the scenic landscape for a potential makeover. Originally debuted in Gran Turismo HD, this challenging 1.5-mile track has become a fan favorite over the years.

In addition to the Eiger Nordward track, update 1.49 brings a fleet of new vehicles to the game, including nostalgic favorites like the Ferrari F430 Scuderia, Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, and BMW M3 (E36) 1997. Racing enthusiasts can also look forward to the Subaru Impreza WRC 1998 and the racing version of the Genesis Vision Gran Turismo car.

But that’s not all! The update also introduces two new circuits, the Nurburgring 24h course and Autodrome Lago Maggiore’s Full Course, along with new tires, wheels, and even “new physics.” And with the update scheduled for release on July 25th, there’s plenty of time to start saving up for these exciting additions.

So buckle up and get ready to hit the track, because GT7 is revving up for an adrenaline-pumping update that’s sure to thrill fans old and new alike.
