Dyson, known for revolutionizing household appliances with its cutting-edge technology, has now entered the audio market with its latest creation – the Dyson OnTrac headphones. This new offering comes after the company’s previous foray into the headphone world with the Zone model, which combined air filtration technology with noise-cancelling features. While the Zone headphones aimed to provide cleaner air in polluted environments, the exorbitant price tag of $949 made it inaccessible to many consumers.

The Dyson OnTrac headphones, on the other hand, are purely focused on delivering high-quality audio and advanced noise cancellation, sans the air filtration system. Priced at $500, these over-ear headphones boast a sleek, Dyson-esque design and a vast array of customization options for the outer caps and ear cushions. With premium materials like aluminum, copper, and ultra-soft microfiber foam, the OnTrac headphones are not only stylish but also comfortable for long listening sessions.

Under the hood, the OnTrac features 40mm neodymium speaker drivers that promise a wider frequency response than traditional headphones, allowing for deep bass and clear highs. The advanced ANC technology, comprising eight microphones and a custom noise-cancelling algorithm, blocks up to 40dB of external noise for an immersive listening experience. Additionally, Dyson has addressed the battery life issue by equipping the OnTrac with two high-capacity lithium-ion cells that offer up to 55 hours of playback time with ANC activated.

In terms of controls, the OnTrac features an intuitive “joystick” on the ear cup for easy access to playback and volume adjustments. And if you want to switch off ANC, a simple double tap on the ear cup will do the trick. As for color options, the OnTrac headphones are available in aluminum/orange, copper/blue, black nickel, and ceramic red, with replacement caps and cushions sold separately for $50.

With the Dyson OnTrac headphones, the company has once again demonstrated its commitment to innovation and excellence in design. Whether you’re a music enthusiast or a frequent traveler in need of a quiet companion, the OnTrac promises to deliver a premium audio experience like no other. So why settle for ordinary headphones when you can elevate your sound game with Dyson’s latest offering? It’s time to tune in and hear the world in a whole new way.
