Duck Dynasty Stars Ask for Prayers as Daughter Mia Undergoes Surgery

Missy and Jase Robertson, beloved stars of Duck Dynasty, reached out to fans for support as their daughter Mia prepared for her sixteenth surgery to correct her cleft palate. The 20-year-old was scheduled for another procedure on Monday, with Missy sharing a heartfelt message on Instagram.

“Just another night in a very familiar hotel room,” Missy posted, acknowledging the challenging road ahead. Despite not specifying the details of the surgery, Mia shared a touching Instagram story with her mom before the operation.

In a heartwarming picture, Mia and her mom were seen in a hospital bed, with Mia calling her mom a “rockstar” as they faced the surgery together. Fans flooded Missy’s Instagram post with well wishes, expressing their love and support for Mia.

Mia’s medical journey has been one of ups and downs, documented through the Mia Moo Fund, which was set up to help others facing similar challenges and raise awareness about cleft palate. Mia, born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate, had her first corrective surgery at just three months old.

Despite the difficulties, Mia has become an inspiration to many, traveling the country to share her story and empower others with her strength and resilience. The Robertson family couldn’t be prouder of Mia, with Missy expressing gratitude for the unwavering support of Mia’s cleft team and all those who have kept her in their prayers.

According to the Mayo Clinic, a cleft lip and palate are common birth defects where the facial structures don’t fully close during development in the womb. As Mia continues her journey, her family remains hopeful for her continued progress and grateful for the outpouring of love from fans around the world.
