Caribbean Airlines (CAL) announced that all scheduled international flights in and out of Trinidad and Tobago, as well as its regional network, will remain grounded until 1pm on July 1. The decision to suspend flights starting from 6pm on June 30 was made as part of the airline’s efforts to mitigate the impact of disruptions.

In a statement, CAL assured that they are actively reaching out to all affected passengers who were booked on CAL services. These passengers will be re-accommodated on re-timed and recovery flights to ensure minimal inconvenience.

Domestic customers facing flight disruptions have the option to rebook without any change fees on domestic services until August 2024, with no penalties involved. Similarly, international passengers impacted by the flight suspensions can rebook without charge fees, subject to certain conditions.

The conditions for international passengers include the waiver of all fees for tickets rebooked in the same cabin, the flexibility to be rebooked on any service up to July 28, 2024, with no penalty, and the requirement to make all changes through CAL’s call centre or at a CAL ticket office. It is important to note that CAL will not assume responsibility for transportation to/from an alternative airport or any hotel/overnight expenses incurred by affected passengers.
