The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM) is taking action to provide crucial support to Grenada and St Vincent and the Grenadines following the devastation caused by Hurricane Beryl. Collaborating with stakeholders, the ODPM has deployed a two-person team to the affected areas as part of the Caricom Operational Support Team (COST) managed by the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA).

Since July 1, efforts have been underway to aid in the recovery operations in these islands, with the team working tirelessly to help restore normalcy. However, the current team’s deployment period is coming to an end, with Lt Col Jason Hills of the TT Defence Force (TTDF) and Carisse Thompson of the Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) ready to take over and continue the support efforts.
