Actress Abigail Breslin found herself in hot water after speaking out against working with “known abusers” in the music industry. When Katy Perry fans took offense to her comments, Breslin was bombarded with insults and even death threats.

In response to the backlash, Breslin took to social media to defend her stance, stating, “So I made a post condemning abusers and supporting an artist I love… and apparently that means receiving death threats… cool.” She continued to express her support for Kesha and her amazing performances, despite the controversy surrounding Dr. Luke’s involvement in the industry.

Dr. Luke, who has a complicated history with Kesha, recently collaborated on Perry’s new single, “Woman’s World,” sparking outrage online. Breslin’s support for Kesha further fueled the fire, leading to heated exchanges with fans on social media.

Despite the negative backlash, Breslin stood her ground, stating, “I’m not going to stop speaking out against abuse. I never said a negative thing about your fave. Please relax. I stand by what I said.”

It’s clear that Breslin is unapologetic in her support for victims of abuse and her belief that artists should not work with abusers. As the controversy continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how the music industry will respond to calls for accountability.
