It’s time for a reset

The state of our capital city is a sobering reflection of the issues facing our country. From abandoned buildings and unkept lawns to leaking water mains and potholed roads, Port of Spain paints a bleak picture. Vagrants and faeces litter the streets, while vendors sell their wares in unstructured spaces. The need for change is evident.

As older citizens gather to support movements like Wendell Eversley’s march to the Red House, it’s clear that the younger generation must step up. We need a reset in all aspects of our society – from the economy to crime prevention to food security. The energy and drive for change must come from our youth.

While many have already left our shores in search of better opportunities, those who remain must take up the mantle. It’s time to get involved and shape the future of Trinidad and Tobago. Let’s replace despair with hope and work towards a brighter tomorrow.
