In a quiet town in northern England, a Taylor Swift-themed dance class turned into a nightmare on Monday as a teenage suspect went on a stabbing rampage, killing two children and injuring nine others. The scene was described by witnesses as something out of a horror movie.

Merseyside Police Chief Constable Serena Kennedy provided updates on the tragic incident, revealing that six of the injured children are in critical condition, along with two critically injured adults. The police believe that the attacker walked into the premises armed with a knife and started targeting the children. Kennedy commended the adults who bravely tried to protect the children during the attack.

Local business owner Colin Parry described the chaotic scene in Southport as resembling a horror movie, with mothers arriving and screaming in distress. The incident took place during a Taylor Swift-themed yoga and dance class for children, adding an eerie twist to the tragedy.

The Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Trust in Liverpool declared a “major incident” as they worked alongside other emergency services to respond to the incident. King Charles III and his wife, Queen Camilla, expressed their shock and offered heartfelt condolences to the families affected by the horrific attack.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Southport MP Patrick Hurley also weighed in on the devastating event, expressing their deep concern and sympathies for the victims and their loved ones. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with Counterterrorism Police Northwest offering their support.
