West Indies chose to bat first in the final Test against England at Edgbaston and were bowled out for 282 on the first day. Despite England struggling at 38 for three by the close of play, the Windies were still in control with a lead of 244 runs. The day saw a positive start from West Indies’ openers, Kraigg Brathwaite and Mikyle Louis, who put together a 76-run partnership. However, the team lost wickets in quick succession, sliding to 115 for five. A crucial partnership between Joshua Da Silva and Jason Holder added 109 runs, but England’s bowlers chipped away, ending the Windies’ innings at 282. In response, West Indies’ fast bowlers Alzarri Joseph and Jayden Seales struck early, leaving England reeling at 38 for three at stumps. Day two promises an exciting encounter as both teams look to gain the upper hand in the final Test.
