Tabaquite stabbing victim’s brother: Deadly feud culminates in tragic loss

The brother of Julien Hall, who was tragically stabbed to death outside a Gran Couva bar, revealed that the fatal disagreement stemmed from an ongoing feud with the suspect and his family.

Julien, a 41-year-old chemical mixer at the Water and Sewerage Authority, resided in Emmanuel Junction, Tabaquite. On the night of the incident, he was stabbed multiple times by a man he knew outside the Ecstasy bar.

CCTV footage captured the altercation, showing Julien in a white shirt conversing with the suspect in blue. Suddenly, a scuffle ensued, leading to Julien being struck several times in the torso before fleeing with a blood-soaked shirt.

Despite efforts to save him, Julien succumbed to his injuries at the San Fernando General Hospital. A suspect has since surrendered to the authorities.

Sharing fond memories of his brother, Jose Hall spoke to Newsday outside the Forensic Science Centre, highlighting Julien’s athletic prowess and jovial nature. He emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into the incident, hinting at underlying tensions between the families.

As the community mourns the loss of Julien, family members lamented the state of crime in the area, calling for more opportunities for the youth in Tabaquite. With hopes for justice, they await the outcome of the investigation and seek closure amidst tragedy.
