Trinidad and Tobago’s athletes at the 2024 Pan American Masters Track & Field Championship ended their campaign with a bang, securing three more gold medals on the final day in Cleveland, Ohio, on July 17.

Natasha Kelshall-Pantin, who had already won the women’s 45-49 age group 400m event earlier, added another gold to her collection in the 200m with a speedy time of 27.41 seconds. She left American competitors Aseel Aziz-Gomez (30.38s) and Cassandra Harris (36.13s) in her wake to claim the top spot.

Michelle Sturge, who had clinched gold in the 100m for the 54-59 age group, continued her winning streak by triumphing in the 200m event with a time of 28.32s. American Veronica LeShore (29.87s) came in second, followed by Canadian Josee Falcon (32.37s) in third place.

Also, Murrien Mitchell of Trinidad and Tobago, who had already secured 100m gold, added another gold in the 200m event with a winning time of 23.75s. Brazilian Jason Ferreira (24.66s) and Canadian Andre Mitchell (24.90s) took the second and third spots, respectively.
