Beloved Aid Worker Passes Away Just Before Meeting with King Charles
In a heartbreaking turn of events, cancer patient and aid worker Simon Boas tragically passed away just hours before his scheduled meeting with King Charles. Boas, 47, who worked for Jersey Overseas Aid, was set to attend a tea party with the royal couple on Monday.
Boas had received a personal letter from the King himself after his health took a turn for the worse and he was moved to a hospice. The content of the letter remains private, but it is understood that King Charles praised Boas as an inspiration and was deeply moved by his story.
Sadly, Boas passed away on Monday, just before the King and Queen’s arrival in St Helier for their two-day visit to the Channel Islands. The timing of his passing was incredibly tragic, as he was so close to meeting with the royal couple who had expressed their admiration and support for him.
The loss of Simon Boas is deeply felt by those who knew him, and his legacy as a kind-hearted and dedicated aid worker will undoubtedly live on.
