Exciting leak alert! An early peek at the highly anticipated BioShock 4 has surfaced online, showcasing the sequel’s UI design in its mid-development phase. The image, revealed by MP1ST, reportedly comes from a work reel belonging to a 2K visual effects artist whose identity remains confidential to protect their privacy.

What’s really intriguing about this image is the mention of the codename ‘Parkside’, a term that journalist Colin Moriarty previously linked to the upcoming BioShock game when he spilled the beans on potential details about the game’s setting back in 2021.

2K initially confirmed in December 2019 that they were working on a new BioShock installment, igniting excitement among fans. However, details about the project have been scarce since then. The game is being developed by 2K’s Cloud Chamber studio, specially established for this project in the San Francisco Bay Area and Montréal, Québec.

The talented team at Cloud Chamber includes BioShock veterans like design director Jonathan Pelling and creative director Hoagy de la Plante. Pelling, a designer on the original game, also served as the creative director at 2K Australia during the making of BioShock Infinite, while de la Plante’s expertise spans various disciplines such as level design, art, and programming.

Interestingly, original BioShock director Ken Levine is not involved in the new game. Instead, he’s working on ‘Judas’, the debut title from Ghost Story Games, another 2K studio he founded after Irrational Games, the studio behind BioShock and BioShock Infinite, closed its doors.

Stay tuned as the BioShock 4 development journey continues to unfold, promising an exciting new chapter in this beloved gaming franchise.
