King Charles has made a bold move by crossing out Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the guest list for the upcoming Balmoral event this summer. Despite the King’s desire to get close to his grandchildren, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not be in attendance.

A source close to the situation revealed to Express.co.uk that the exclusion of Harry and Meghan is meant to maintain peace for the ailing monarch, as well as Kate Middleton. The goal is to create a happy family gathering where members can come together to unwind and discuss plans for the future.

While the Sussexes will not be part of the August summit, there is speculation that King Charles may meet with them once Queen Camilla and the rest of the royal family have departed. The decision to leave them out of the event is an attempt to give the family a “quieter break” after what has been a challenging year for many.

Earlier this year, Charles revealed his own battle with cancer, adding to the difficulties faced by the royal family. The Prince of Wales, who has a strained relationship with his brother Harry, has been stepping up to fill in for senior royals while also caring for his own family during this trying time. Ultimately, the King’s decision reflects his commitment to maintaining peace and harmony within the royal family during this period of uncertainty.
