32-year-old Shakeem Charles, a driver for TT RideShare, was tragically found dead in Penal on July 13. His body was discovered in a bushy area off Sunrees Branch Road, marking a devastating end to the search for him.

Charles, who resided in Indian Walk, was last seen on July 9 around 5 pm as he departed from his girlfriend’s residence on Manahambre Road in Princes Town. His white Yaris Cross (PEG 2166) was the last trace of him, spotted in Penal around 7.38 pm on the same day.

Worries soon arose within Charles’ family as he failed to return home and ceased all communication. Consequently, he was reported missing on July 9. The discovery of his abandoned vehicle along Emon Lane in Valencia on July 10 added further mystery to his disappearance.

In hopes of uncovering more information, Charles’ family offered a $15,000 reward for any details regarding his whereabouts. Despite their efforts, the investigation into his death and the events leading up to it are still in progress.
