A woman was shot on the compound of Toyota’s south office at Tarouba on July 13. Reports indicate that the woman had stopped at the South Park Mall for a quick bite to eat before heading back to the compound. However, as she was entering, gunmen emerged from a silver vehicle and began firing at her, making off with her handbag before fleeing in their vehicle.
The victim was rushed to the San Fernando General Hospital for treatment, although her current condition remains unknown.
Upon arrival, police officers sealed off the compound, allowing staff and customers to safely exit. Business operations at the compound were suspended for the day as a result of the incident. Despite the tense situation, authorities on site were tight-lipped about providing details, and the victim’s relatives present at the scene declined to comment.
