Serena Williams stole the show at the 2024 ESPYs with her wise words and killer moves. As she hosted the event, she dropped some serious advice: “If I’ve learned anything this year, it’s that none of us should ever pick a fight with Kendrick Lamar.” And with the song “Not Like Us” playing in the background, Williams crip-walked on stage, leaving the crowd roaring with approval.

But this isn’t the first time Williams has shown love for Lamar’s music. At Essence Fest in New Orleans, she declared “Not Like Us” the song of the summer, gushing about how much she loves jamming out to it. And let’s not forget Lamar’s iconic Juneteenth Pop Out concert, where he brought a star-studded lineup on stage, including DJ Mustard, Tyler the Creator, and even Dr. Dre.

In a surprising twist, Lamar name-dropped Williams in the explosive track, reminding everyone to never speak ill of the tennis legend. Rumors once swirled about a romance between Williams and Drake, but those days are long gone. Williams is happily married to Alexis Ohanian, despite Drake’s playful jabs in his lyrics.

And Ohanian? He took the diss in stride, proudly proclaiming his support for his wife and daughter on social media. The moral of the story? Don’t mess with Serena Williams, Kendrick Lamar, or their epic crip-walking skills.
