In a shocking turn of events, Kevin Hart finds himself embroiled in a multi-million dollar lawsuit filed by his former friend and actor, Jonathan “JT” Jackson. The lawsuit alleges that Hart violated a settlement agreement related to Hart’s sex tape scandal.

The legal battle involves Hart, his company Hartbeat LLC, and several others as defendants, accused of failing to properly share a statement that proclaimed Jackson’s innocence amidst Hart’s public apology for the scandal. Furthermore, the lawsuit claims that Hart and his legal team provided false evidence to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, resulting in extortion charges against Jackson and his subsequent arrest in April 2018.

Jackson’s attorney, Daniel Reback, confidently asserts, “The facts in the complaint speak for themselves… We are confident that the lawsuit will end with Mr. Jackson’s complete victory and vindication.”

Representatives for Hart have remained tight-lipped in response to the allegations, leaving the public eager for further developments in this unfolding legal drama.

The saga dates back to 2017 when an anonymous individual supposedly threatened Hart’s then-pregnant wife with a sex tape involving Hart and model Montia Sabbag. Hart publicly apologized for the incident, denouncing any attempts at extortion. Subsequently, Jackson faced accusations of extortion regarding the matter, leading to his arrest. However, the charges against Jackson were ultimately dropped, prompting denials of any involvement on his part.

Fast forward to 2019, Hart released a Netflix docuseries through Hartbeat, accusing Jackson of extortion and implicating him in the tape’s creation. After nearly two years, a settlement was reached in July 2021, requiring Hart to release a statement exonerating Jackson. However, the lawsuit alleges that Hart significantly deviated from the agreed-upon language in his statement, causing harm to Jackson’s reputation and career.

Jackson now seeks more than $12 million in damages for fraud and intentional emotional distress as he aims to clear his name and rebuild his professional standing. The fallout from the scandal continues to haunt both Jackson and Hart, with legal battles and public scrutiny shadowing their every move.

As the lawsuit unfolds, the entertainment world eagerly awaits the resolution of this high-profile dispute, hoping for justice and closure for all parties involved. Stay tuned for updates as this legal saga unfolds before our very eyes.
