Attention gamers and Amazon Prime members, it’s time to get excited because Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is now available for free! That’s right, Rocksteady’s controversial game can be yours at no cost during Prime Day 2024, but only if you meet two simple requirements: an Amazon Prime subscription and a capable gaming PC.
From July 16 to 18, Prime members can head over to the Amazon Prime gaming page and grab not only Suicide Squad, but also Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration and Chivalry 2 from the Epic Games Store. These three games join the lineup of 15 other free games that Amazon has been generously offering in anticipation of Prime Day, including popular titles like Hitman Absolution, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2.
While Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has faced its fair share of criticism, it’s not all doom and gloom. Fans of the game praise its combat mechanics, reminiscent of a rhythm brawler, and its impressive cinematic moments, a trademark of Rocksteady Studios. Despite its issues with mission variety, character progression, and loot, the game still manages to captivate a curious audience.
Speaking of updates, Suicide Squad was slated to receive a new seasonal update introducing Mrs. Freeze as a playable character, but unfortunately, the release has been postponed until the end of July. Despite its reported commercial failure, Rocksteady Studios remains committed to completing the game’s post-launch content roadmap, keeping players engaged well into the future.
In the meantime, rumors suggest that Rocksteady is exploring new single-player projects to regain its footing in the industry. Could this studio, known for the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham trilogy, be gearing up for a triumphant return to form? Only time will tell.
