Reports indicate that Benji was found deceased in his car at a bank parking lot in Peoria, Arizona, with the cause of death still under investigation.
Benji’s sister, Rebecca, revealed to TMZ that her brother, who battled depression, bipolar disorder, and a severe sleep disorder, likely succumbed to vehicular heatstroke after falling asleep in his car during the blistering summer heat. Tragically, Benji’s loyal service dog, Hans, also perished in the incident.
In remembrance of Benji, Rebecca has suggested that donations be made to The Actors Equity Foundation or the ASPCA in his honor.
