Attention all travelers! Hurricane Beryl has wreaked havoc on Texas airports, causing hundreds of flight cancellations and delays. United Airlines and Southwest Airlines are bearing the brunt of the storm, with over 800 flights scrapped on Monday morning alone.

Beryl, initially a Category 1 storm, has now weakened to a tropical storm but continues to pose a threat with heavy rainfall and potential flooding. Houston’s airports, including George Bush Intercontinental Airport and William P. Hobby Airport, have been hit hard, with nearly 800 outbound flights nixed.

United Airlines is playing it safe by suspending flights out of Houston until at least 5 p.m. Eastern Time and is offering flexible rebooking options for affected passengers. American Airlines is following suit, halting operations until 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Southwest Airlines is advising travelers to check flight status and brace for schedule changes.

With Hurricane Beryl on the move, travelers are urged to stay informed and make necessary adjustments to their travel plans. Stay safe and stay informed as this storm passes through the region.
