Police are currently on the lookout for a man involved in a shooting incident outside a bar in Siparia on the night of July 7. The two victims, aged 25 and 22, were walking along Coora Road near Eddie’s Bar when the suspect, who emerged from a blue Nissan B-14, opened fire on them before fleeing the scene. One victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, while the other was shot in the chest.
Fortunately, a Good Samaritan transported the injured men to the Siparia District Health Facility for medical attention. The victim with the leg injury has since been discharged, while the victim with the chest wound was transferred to the San Fernando General Hospital and is currently in stable condition. It is believed that the assailant had prior connections to the victims.
