Fast cars, big dreams, and a whole lot of adrenaline – that’s the world of hypercars and supercars. And when it comes to pushing the limits, nobody does it quite like Hennessey Performance.
Recently, the Texas-based manufacturer was putting its Venom F5 hypercar to the test with a 0-to-250 mph run. But as they say, with great speed comes great risk. Founder John Hennessey revealed that during the test, a downforce issue caused the driver to lose control. Luckily, the driver walked away unscathed, proving that when it comes to safety, Hennessey doesn’t mess around.
The Venom F5 “Revolution” Coupe, a new track-focused version of the hypercar, promises impressive downforce figures at high speeds. With 1,600 horsepower and a price tag of $1.6 million, this beast was designed to dominate the road. And dominate it did, with all 24 units selling out in no time.
But Hennessey didn’t stop there. They upped the ante with the track-tuned Revolution Coupe, offering even more power and performance for a cool $2.7 million. From its twin-turbo “Fury” V8 engine to its carbon fiber chassis, this car is a work of art in motion.
As the team at Hennessey evaluates the aerodynamic data to identify what went wrong during the test, one thing is for sure – the pursuit of speed will always be an exhilarating journey. And with Hennessey behind the wheel, you can bet it will be one wild ride.
