Sheryl Lee Ralph, known for her role in “Abbott Elementary,” recently found herself in the eye of Hurricane Beryl as it made its way over Jamaica. The actress had been in Jamaica for her son’s wedding when the Category 4 storm hit, causing concern for her safety.
However, Sheryl took to social media to assure her fans that she was safe and sound, along with her loved ones. Despite being left without power, she expressed gratitude for being unharmed by the storm and described Beryl as a “Jamaican track star off to another race.”
While feeling thankful for her safety, Sheryl also urged her followers to keep other areas affected by the storm in their thoughts, such as Carriacou in Grenada, where Beryl had caused significant damage. With the storm’s path now targeting Mexico and Texas, the actress remained positive as she prepared for her son’s wedding festivities.
In true celebratory fashion, Sheryl even shared a video of herself singing Bob Marley’s “One Love,” showcasing her optimism and excitement for the upcoming nuptials. It seems that Etienne and Stephanie’s wedding is still on track, despite the weather-related challenges.
Congratulations to the happy couple, and a big sigh of relief for Sheryl Lee Ralph and her loved ones after surviving the wrath of Hurricane Beryl.
