A tragic incident unfolded in Princes Town during the early hours of July 2, as Buchanan “Booky” Alibocas, a 28-year-old resident of Manahambre Road, was fatally shot in his own bedroom. The event transpired at approximately 3:35 am, with neighbors quickly contacting the authorities upon hearing gunshots.
The discovery of Alibocas’ body by officers revealed he had sustained fatal gunshot wounds to the head. The sequence of events leading to his untimely demise reportedly involved a car pulling up in front of his residence, from which two individuals disembarked and made their way inside.
Following the fatal shooting, the assailants promptly returned to their vehicle, which promptly sped away from the scene. The Princes Town police station swiftly responded to the incident, with the Homicide Bureau of Investigations, Region III, also being notified of the tragic development. At present, ongoing investigations are being carried out to shed light on the circumstances surrounding Alibocas’ senseless killing.
