The latest system firmware update for the Nintendo Switch has been released, following the previous Version 18.1.0 update in June. This new “rebootless” update, as explained by dataminer ‘OatmealDome’ on social media, brings minor changes without requiring the console to be restarted.
One notable update in this new release is the enhancement of the “bad words list,” aimed at blocking a certain word in Japanese that can evade censorship. Additionally, the original 18.1.0 update discontinued X (formerly Twitter) integration and included improvements related to games like Super Smash Bros. and Splatoon.
