In a disturbing turn of events, one man lost his life while two others were left wounded in a violent attack at O’Meara Industrial Estate, Malabar on July 1st.

Authorities were alerted to the situation around 12:35 am when reports of gunshots echoed through the area. Upon arrival, the lifeless body of Nicholas Sebro, a 35-year-old resident of Phase 7, La Horquetta, was discovered in a silver Hyundai Creta parked near MIC. He was clad in jeans, a denim jacket, and white sneakers.

Further investigations revealed that a 33-year-old man from Diego Martin and a 45-year-old woman from Caroni were also victims of the attack. Both sustained gunshot wounds and were rushed to Arima Health Facility for medical intervention.

The male victim suffered six gunshot wounds to his buttocks, while the female victim had minor injuries to the back of her neck and grazes on her upper right arm. Fortunately, both individuals are now in stable condition, with the man being transferred to Mt. Hope Hospital for additional treatment.

Despite authorities’ efforts to gather information from the victims, no valuable details were provided. However, the Special Evidence Recovery Unit managed to retrieve crucial evidence from the scene, including spent 9mm and 5.56 shell casings, as well as live ammunition of the same calibers.

As the investigation unfolds, the authorities are working tirelessly to piece together the events that led to this tragic incident. The community remains on edge as justice is sought for the victims of this senseless act of violence.
