Princess Kate Middleton Honored by Queen Camilla at Special Garden Party

In a heartwarming gesture, Queen Camilla paid tribute to Princess Kate Middleton by hosting a special garden party for a young boy named Tony Hudgell. Tony, affectionately known as Kate Middleton’s “best friend”, has had the pleasure of meeting the Princess on several occasions.

Tony’s story is truly inspiring – he suffered horrific abuse at the hands of his birth parents, resulting in the amputation of both his legs. Despite his struggles, he was graciously invited by King Charles to attend a royal garden party at Buckingham Palace.

The palace shared a heartwarming video on social media, capturing Tony’s special visit with the caption, “When Tony and Lyla came to tea.” Lyla O’Donovan, a brave brain tumour patient who also missed the initial palace party due to ill-health, joined Tony for the unforgettable experience.

During the gathering, Queen Camilla went above and beyond by presenting Tony with a British Empire Medal (BEM), in recognition of his remarkable courage. Unfortunately, Kate Middleton was unable to attend the event as she is currently undergoing cancer treatment.

Despite the absence of the Princess, Tony’s spirit and resilience continue to shine. He is a co-founder of the Tony Hudgell Foundation, dedicated to helping other children facing adversity.

This heartwarming story serves as a reminder of the power of kindness and compassion in the face of adversity. Queen Camilla’s gesture of honouring Princess Kate Middleton through this special event embodies the true spirit of royalty.
