The police are currently investigating the mysterious death of 58-year-old Kalicharan Charles in Claxton Bay. His body was found on the pavement with multiple wounds, leading authorities to suspect he may have been struck by a vehicle. Pieces of evidence, such as a left side door mirror from a Nissan vehicle near his body, have sparked the interest of investigators.
Kalicharan Charles, a resident of Lodge Ali Road, Claxton Bay, was scheduled to turn 59 in November. He was discovered lying on his stomach, dressed in a black jersey and dark-colored pants. Responding officers from the Central Division, including PCs Maharaj, Ramdial, Dado, and Wilson, along with WPC Daniel, immediately secured the scene and collected vital evidence.
Dr. Kevin Ramadhin, the District Medical Officer, inspected the site and authorized the removal of the body for further examination. The Homicide Bureau of Investigation, Region Three, has been informed about the case as the police await the results of the pending autopsy, scheduled later this week.
