A 19-year-old man from Los Bajos is set to appear before a master in the High Court on July 1 to face charges of two sexual offences against a minor. The labourer was apprehended by police on June 28 following thorough investigations conducted by the Special Victims Unit and the Child Protection Unit. WPC McGregor of the CPU charged him with sexual penetration of a 13-year-old girl and engaging in a sexual act in her presence. Supervised by ASP Seecharan, Insp Ramphall, and Sgt Thompson, the investigations revealed that the alleged offences occurred in March 2023 at a residence in the Siparia district. The incident was reported to the Fyzabad police a few days later.
